The UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN came from a terrible situation in Henrico County and is now getting a second chance at the life she deserves. She was found in the backyard of a Richmond Deputy's home, with 20 other dogs. Animal Control believes that the Deputy was breeding and training the dogs to fight. We do not believe, however, that Molly herself was used in actual fighting, but may have been used in breeding operations.

Molly was carefully temperament tested and passed with FLYING COLORS. Molly is full of spunk and playfulness, yet is the type of dog that takes her cue from her owner: she'll happily play fetch or go for long walks, yet is equally happy cuddling up in your lap or just leaning against your arm and gazing into your eyes. In her foster home, she has behaved impeccably with her foster's two cats and own (female) pit bull, although due to her past she will require more monitoring to determine whether she should be placed in a home with other dogs.

Molly is crate-trained, and willingly stays in the crate - with no barking or whining - while her foster is at work during the day. She is extremely smart and eager to please, and already knows the command for "sit" and is working on perfecting "lie down", "stay", and "roll over." She also responds extremly well to the word "no". Although because of how she was raised (see the video clips below), we cannot guarantee that Molly is 100% potty trained, she has not yet had an accident in her foster's home.

Molly has so much love to give. When you meet her, you will truely be amazed that a dog so loving and affectionate could have come from such horrible circumstances. But that's our Unsinkable Molly Brown!!
